This Electrical Vehicle Webinar will include:
Basic overview of both the vehicles and infrastructure used to charge them.
New terminology, which is utilized for report writing. New infrastructure required to charge these vehicles, both at residential and commercial locations.
Discussion of different batteries and known failure points.
Basic systems with most EV charging, and the safety concerns for first responders.
The course will run 2-3 hours in length and a test will be provided at the end for all registered attendees.

Instructor Information:
Joseph Herzberg is a retired Fire Captain with over 25 years of service. After retiring in 2012, he has worked as an origin and cause investigator traveling within the US, and has investigated over 1,500 vehicle fires and provided many hours of deposition. For the past 6 years, he has been a board member for the International Associate of Arson Investigators, and he is both a certified and lead instructor for the three-day vehicle fire investigation course. He has lectured about vehicle fire investigations around the nation and most recently in Australia for the Queensland and New Zealand IAAI Conferences, as well as for the Saskatchewan Fire Chief Assoc. in Canada.
